The course
Nine holes, par 36, laid out across rolling ground on the north edge of Larchwood. Two par fives, two par threes and five par fours — with water in play on three of them.
Par 36
Play it twice for a full eighteen — the back nine never plays like the front, because the wind has usually turned by the time you get round to it.

Every hole, in order
The opener
Par 4396 yards
An accurate tee shot is a must: out of bounds runs down the left and the trees are waiting on the right. A mid to long iron in, to a green that slopes up and away from you.
Reachable in two
Par 5420 yards
A dogleg right to a generous green, and short enough to get there in two if you take on the corner. Out of bounds down the right is the price of being greedy.
The hardest short hole
Par 3146 yards
Guarded by a bunker front-left with out of bounds directly behind, so there is no bail-out long. Take enough club to carry the sand and not one more.
Water right, trouble left
Par 5
Water runs the length of the right-hand side and out of bounds sits left. The green slopes severely uphill, so leave yourself enough club for the approach — short here rolls all the way back.
Birdie chance
Par 4316 yards
The shortest par four on the card and a genuine birdie opportunity. A large bunker protects the green on the right and out of bounds is left, so position off the tee matters more than distance.
Downhill, then up
Par 3
You hit down to a green that slopes back up at you. With the pin at the back it is very easy to take too much club and run through — the miss long is worse than the miss short.
The one everybody talks about
Par 4
The most demanding tee shot at Meadow Acres. Dense trees down the right, water down the left and nothing comfortable in between. Bunkers near the green make par a very good score.
Over the lake
Par 4
A large lake sits directly in front of the tee, so the carry is the whole question. The green beyond is long and narrow; walking off with a four feels like a shot gained.
Where matches are decided
Par 4403 yards
A narrow fairway with trees down both sides and the clubhouse watching. Many matches are won and lost on this hole, which is exactly how a ninth ought to finish.
A look around

How we keep it moving
- All players register at the clubhouse first.
- Allow faster players to play through.
- No more than five players per group.
- Only two riders per cart, and keep carts thirty feet from all greens.
- Replace your divots and repair your ball marks.
- Dispose of refuse properly.
- Do not start on six unless management approves it.
No outside food, beer or alcohol — the clubhouse is licensed and we would rather keep it that way.

Walk-ups are welcome every day. Bringing a group of eight or more? Give the clubhouse a ring so we can make sure the course is open to you.
