Twenty minutes east of Sioux Falls, two blocks off IA 9. Walk-ups welcome every day of the season — no tee time needed.

Plan an outing, or ask us anything

There are no tee times here. The course is walk-on: come and play whenever we are open and pay at the clubhouse. This form is for the things that do need arranging — group outings, tournaments, the banquet room, memberships and leagues.

We use this to answer you and nothing else. No list, no newsletter, and we do not pass it on.

Driving out

From Sioux Falls, it is about twenty minutes

  1. Take SD 42 east for about nine miles.
  2. Pick up IA 9 and carry on for roughly five miles.
  3. Follow IA 9 into Larchwood.
  4. Turn north on Chestnut Street and go two blocks.
  5. Turn east on Fell Street — which becomes 135th Street — and the course is three-quarters of a mile along on your right.

Common questions

Do I need a tee time?

No. Meadow Acres is a nine-hole course and walk-ups play every day of the season — just register at the clubhouse when you arrive. Ring ahead if you are bringing more than eight people, or if you are travelling from out of town and want to be sure the course is not closed for a tournament.

Is the course open to the public?

Yes. We welcome green-fee guests and members equally. You do not need to know anybody, belong to anything, or be invited by a member.

How much is a round?

Nine holes walking is $20 on a weekday and $26 at the weekend. With a cart it is $32 and $37. Eighteen holes runs from $26 to $53 depending on the day and whether you ride. All prices include sales tax, and a ten-round book with a cart is $300.

Do you have carts?

Forty gas carts, so there is almost always one free. Members who take cart privileges ride unlimited all season. Only two riders per cart, and please keep them thirty feet from the greens.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

No — the clubhouse is licensed and no outside food, beer or alcohol is allowed on the property. The kitchen is open until nine and the bar is a full service one, so you are well looked after.

Can we hold a wedding or a party here?

Yes. The banquet room has been remodelled, it looks out over the course, and it is used for wedding receptions, family reunions, graduation and retirement receptions and business meetings. There is a full kitchen and a full bar on site. Send us a message or ring Karla at the clubhouse to check a date.

How far is it from Sioux Falls?

About twenty minutes. Take SD 42 east, pick up IA 9 into Larchwood, then north on Chestnut Street and east on Fell Street. Full directions are above.

Do you run leagues?

Four nights a week from the start of June: couples on Monday, women on Tuesday, an open league on Wednesday and three divisions of men’s golf on Thursday. The Tuesday and Wednesday leagues are the easiest to join on your own.
